Bob Dylan must love his last studio album, Rough and Rowdy Ways, which he released in 2020. He’s still adding new dates to that album tour and taking the gigs into 2024.
Despite being 82, Dylan is performing live very regularly. He recorded Rough And Rowdy Ways when his previous highly rated Never Ending Tour ended in 2019. That series of concerts and the great audience and critical reaction is believed to have added extra motivation for him to record more songs. As you read on here, you might also wonder if the previous tour title was inspiring him too.
Even more dates for Bob Dylan tour
Dylan began touring his latest album in 2020. He’s been all around the world with it since. He isn’t finished with this tour yet, though. Dylan has just announced via social media and his website that he’s still rocking live with the album tour.
The latest leg of this extensive tour is in North America and starts on October 1 in Kansas City, Missouri. A couple of Canadian dates are included in Toronto and Montreal. Although only 17 dates have been added, all in October, the website does say more dates in the fall will be added. The site also refers to Rough and Rowdy Tour 2021-2024, suggesting more dates next year too.
Dylan is faithful to the tour name and album and continues to include nine of the 10 tracks from the Rough And Rowdy Ways album on his current setlist. The very lengthy “Murder Most Foul” being the track missing out. He’ll likely keep that same set for the next leg and however far beyond it continues. We'll have to wait for more news on when and where that might be next.
