This summer, British rock band Def Leppard will kick off their Summer Stadium Tour 2024 at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, MO, on July 6. The band will be joined by Journey and a fantastic rotating lineup that includes Heart, Cheap Trick, and The Steve Miller Band. This week, the band unveiled a brand new single, "Just Like 73," featuring the legendary talents of Tom Morello.

Def Leppard's single marks the first collaboration with Morello, who is well known for his unique playing style and co-founding Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave. Morrello recently announced the debut single from his first solo rock album drops on June 28.

The single was teased in retro style, with a hotline fans could call to hear a sampling of the song before the full release. The seven-inch vinyl for "Just Like 73," which will be released on August 2, is available for pre-order. Color variants and bundles for the vinyl will be exclusively offered on the band's D2C store online, with retailers featuring it in black.

In the meantime, the single is now available for streaming and download, with a music video premiering on June 20. Take a listen below.

"Just Like 73" is the first new music from Def Leppard since the 2022 album Diamond Star Halo. In 2023, they released Drastic Symphonies, an album of reworkings of their classic tunes backed by an orchestra.

Will Def Leppard play the new single on tour?

While working on the set list for the upcoming tour, the band's bassist, Rick Savage, posted on social media that the band will mix up the setlist. This will include a brand new song, more tracks from Pyromania, the band's third album celebrating 40 years, and a song they have never played live. Lead Singer Joe Elliott has shared that the band will celebrate its history during the tour, which could include a surprise or two.

Def Leppard's 23-city tour with Journey includes stadium shows in Nashville, Denver, Chicago, Boston, New York City, Los Angeles, and more. Cheap Trick will join the tour for four shows, Heart will perform at three, and The Steve Miller Band will appear for the majority of the scheduled dates.
