Actor and musician Keanu Reeves is making headlines once again, but it's not to announce a new John Wick movie. The Hollywood Reporter reports that Reeves reunited with his band, Dogstar, to perform their first headlining show in 20 years.

In May 2023, Dogstar joined the BottleRock Napa Valley music festival lineup. And on Tuesday, July 18, the band played at The Roxy in Los Angeles, their first headlining performance since 2002. Along with this performance, the band has revealed plans for a tour and a new album, Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees, to release on Oct. 6.

Formed in 1991, alternative rock Dogstar is comprised of Reeves on bass, guitarist/vocalist Bret Domrose, and drummer Rob Mailhouse. The band was active from the mid-'90s to the early 2000s, and in 2002 decided to put things on hold for the band. In August, Dogstar will set out on a 25-date headlining tour with dates in North America and Japan.

According to THR, the band's opening act at The Roxy was Archer Oh, after which Dogstar performed for an hour. The trio would return for a three-song encore of songs from the upcoming album. You can see Reeves in action in the video below from the Los Angeles show.

Dogstar has also released a music video for the first single from the new album, "Everything Turns Around." The album is currently available for pre-sale on the Dogstar site. There are a limited quantity of signed vinyl available online.

"We’re beyond excited about this; it’s been a minute since we put anything out."
