In celebration of the 30th anniversary of Korn's groundbreaking nu-metal opus, the band from Bakersfield is gearing up for an epic one-off extravaganza in Los Angeles. Marking the milestone on October 5th, the iconic outfit will grace the stage at BMO Stadium, paying homage to their self-titled debut album that laid the foundation for their illustrious (yet often drug-filled) career. This monumental event promises an electrifying lineup of supporting acts, including the likes of Evanescence, Gojira, Daron Malakian and Scars on Broadway, Spiritbox, and Vended, ensuring a night of relentless musical prowess and unforgettable performances.

Expressing his profound appreciation for the band's three-decade journey, frontman Jonathan Davis conveyed his gratitude to fans worldwide for their unwavering support, underscoring the profound impact their music has had across generations. "Reflecting on 30 years of Korn fills me with such immense gratitude for our journey, the growth we've experienced, and the incredible bond we share with our fans," frontman Jonathan Davis said.

Of course, in the past, Davis has even expressed a sort of appreciation for his detractors, posting on Facebook: "thanking my haters right now for giving me the motivation to prove you motherf***rs wrong." Of course, Korn are also known for further popularizing the "white dudes with dreadlocks" thing, for better or worse. Also, for those of us who grew up in the 1990s, it's probably a wake-up call that Korn's debut album is actually not that much younger than Patti Smith's debut.

With humble beginnings in intimate club settings to now commanding stadium stages, Korn's evolution is a testament to the enduring connection they share with their devoted fanbase. Korn has had some controversies pver the years, both major and minor (for example, their song "Evolution" led to Davis needing to credit the band Devo for popularizing the concept of "devolution").

Anticipation is soaring for this momentous celebration, as fans eagerly await the opportunity to secure tickets for this monumental event, which go on sale starting Friday, March 9th, at 10 a.m. local time.
