Netflix's latest adventure movie, The Electric State, stars Millie Bobby Brown of Stranger Things and Chris Pratt of Guardians of the Galaxy. The story is set in an alternate version of the 1990s, a world vastly different from the real version of that decade. The setting may differ, but the music is still the same, and this soundtrack features some great ones.
The story is based on Simon Stålenhag's graphic novel and follows Michelle (Brown), an orphan searching for her brother Christopher (Woody Norman), whom she believed to be dead, with Keats (Pratt), a smuggler. The catch is that the world is overrun by once peaceful sentient robots who became hostile after a failed uprising.

The movie was directed by the Russo Brothers with a screenplay by the duo of Christoper Markus and Stephen McFeely, who previously collaborated on Marvel's Infinity War and Endgame movies. Critics have been harsh in their opinions of the movie, but Netflix viewers are excited for it, as it is #1 in movies on the streamer this week.
What are the songs in The Electric State?
The movie is set in an apocalyptic 1990s, but the music spans generations. The newest song comes from The Flaming Lips single “Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots Pt. 1," released in 2002.
